Found this interesting link here: The source of the bike seems to be "Mr. Claude Louis, one of Poupou’s best friends"

The frame is 100% Bernard Carré, Dear, Good to see your enthousiasm, however, it seems that the subtilities of the used language didn't allow you to grab that knowledgeable people seems convinced of another frame maker without wanting to deliver the maker name. For other champions frames, I've already observed this "milieu" silence. Making you understand "I know but I won't speak". Frustrating, isn't it? Anyway, the daily production should ring a bell. In other terms, "Bernard Carré" is more a patern or brand than a person.

Hello,
Thank you for your insights but I don’t understand why, if knowledgeable people are convinced of one truth, they cannot/ do not want to communicate their arguments/ theories. We are not talking Gods whose name might not be spoken 😛
I cannot say I am knowledgeable in this field but one cannot contradict me without arguments. Knowledge is to be shared if you ask me.
Also I didn’t say 100% “the man Bernard Carré” but “Bernard Carré” 😊

Hello! Is this about the Poulidor Mercier? It was welded by Gérard St-Martin? Was it really Poulidor’s bike as per Mr. Gérard St-Martin? Thank you very much!

Found here that Gerard St-Martin sold B.Carré built frames, I don’t understand if he also welded frames himself www.lateliervelo.fr/gerardsaintmartin

The one given to Mathieu Vanderpoel: I can't say -I don't have any information- if he really welded this frame in particular.

Sorry but I don’t understand the context and the mention of Gerard Saint Martin, my apologies, might have lost myself in translation, could you please help with more context on him being mentioned here?

as I said earlier:
"alainM a écrit : qipiq a écrit : :hello: ...mais qui sous-traitait aussi parfois, vers le Sud-Ouest ... Tu penses à qui? Marotias? Ou qqn d'autre? :hello: AlainM, je ne pense pas, il y a un tonton très discret témoin direct ... un cadreur dont il a été question sur TTV ..."
Gerard Saint Martin is this "cadreur, témoin direct," " vers le Sud-Ouest", who doesn't want to be "discret" anymore...

Ah, ok, so if I understand correctly this is just related to the fact that B.Carré frames were also built by Gerard de Saint Martin, not directly related to “Raymond Poulidor Mercier” discussion 😊

The Mercier here resembles the one under debate: critérium d'aprés tour de France 1976 à la cipale de Vincennes le 3eme et 4eme du tour R POULIDOR R DELISLE.
